Software Engineer & Tester
Kha-Benneh Bangura serves as a Software Engineer and Tester at the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Marymount University in Arlington, VA (USA).
Kha-Benneh has certifications in Agile Methodology, Software Testing, Network+ and Security+.
Kha-Benneh most recently worked at Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, a medical insurance company located in Reston, VA, as a Senior Test Automation Architect. He brings with him over eight years of Information Technology (IT) experience focused on software development, testing and quality assurance activities. He has been responsible for test automation framework development; and test strategy design, development, execution and communication across a number of client engagements.
Kha-Benneh is the founder of an IT company (owned by disabled veterans), Sabi IT and Security Solutions Inc. (SISS) through which he taught students basic computer skills in Sierra Leone. He has worked in refugee camps through Children’s Rights Council of Sierra Leone, and donated water wells to communities in Sierra Leone through Gift of Wells, an entity established during the ebola outbreak.
Kha-Benneh has recorded and released four reggae albums under his stage name JayArr. He served as Sergeant (P) in the US Army for 13 years.
